Plot
In the Netherworld, a young ghost is accosted by a mean ghost who looks a lot like Slimer. The evil twin steals the ghost's lollipop and taunts him until the ghost's three older brothers arrive and corner the bully, who tricks them into looking away and flies off.
On the physical plane, Slimer and Louis play a game of Blackjack at the front desk. Slimer does not know the rules and clobbers Louis with a sub sandwich when Louis says, "Hit me." Janine returns and shows off her latest find, an antique mirror bought at a garage sale. The mirror is a gateway into the Netherworld, and as Slimer looks at his reflection the evil twin peers through from the other side and crosses over. While Slimer cleans green slime off the mirror in the kitchen, the twin ambushes him, bounces him around like a pinball, and shoves both Slimer and Louis through the glass into the Netherworld. The twin then spray-paints the mirror's surface black and tosses it into a passing garbage truck.
In the Netherworld, the ghosts mistake Slimer for his evil twin. Louis tries to defend him, but the brothers are not convinced, and the two run for it. Back at the firehouse, Egon Spengler and Peter Venkman drag themselves home covered in ectoplasm. Peter, eager to have Louis do his income taxes, finds a wrecked kitchen and the evil twin instead. The twin fakes sickness and bad behavior, screaming in Egon's face and cranking up the television. When Peter checks the firehouse security footage and sees two Slimers, the pieces fall into place. He and Egon suit up and trap the twin as it ricochets around the sleeping quarters. Afterward Peter surveys his tattered pillow case and makes a crack about the Tooth Fairy.
Peter, Egon, and Janine drive to the city dump and use P.K.E. Meters to locate the buried mirror. Slimer and Louis, meanwhile, find an information desk and learn the last bus out of the century is leaving; they catch it but are quickly ejected and the chase resumes. Janine finds the mirror and Egon wipes the paint clear just as Slimer spots the gateway and dives through, crashing into Janine. Peter reaches through and pulls Louis out at the last second. Egon sweeps the mirror and confirms no spectral activity remains. Back home, they celebrate with another game of Blackjack, and Slimer bops Peter with a celery stick when he asks for a card, capping the episode with an invocation of "Who you gonna call?"

Evil Slimer Twin
The episode's main antagonist is an unnamed ghost that looks exactly like Slimer in appearance and appetite. He is introduced in the Netherworld stealing a lollipop from a smaller spirit before slipping through the antique mirror gateway into the physical plane. After forcing Slimer and Louis through the portal he spray-paints the glass black to seal it, then disposes of the mirror entirely. Back at the firehouse he impersonates Slimer until security footage exposes him. In the production call sheet he was listed simply as "Bully."2 His voice was provided by Dave Coulier, who also voices Slimer throughout the series.
Flaude's Family
Three large ghost brothers who pursue the evil twin after he steals a lollipop from their younger sibling. They corner him in the Netherworld at the episode's opening but are fooled into looking away, allowing the twin to escape. Once Slimer and Louis arrive in the Netherworld, the brothers mistake Slimer for the bully and resume their chase, driving much of the episode's Netherworld action.
Other Netherworld Inhabitants
A cycloptic elephant ghost appears among the hazards Slimer and Louis encounter during their escape through the Netherworld. A Netherworld Clerk at an information desk directs them toward the departing bus, described as the last one leaving for a century. The Netherworld Bus is briefly characterized as an entity in its own right, unceremoniously ejecting its unauthorized passengers.
Equipment
The episode features standard Ghostbusters field equipment. Proton Packs and Particle Throwers are used to trap the evil twin as he bounces through the sleeping quarters; a Ghost Trap contains him. P.K.E. Meters are used at the city dump to locate the mirror buried in garbage, with Egon determining its position from directly beneath the team. Ecto-1 carries Peter, Egon, and Janine to the dump. The Firehouse Surveillance System plays a direct plot role: Peter reviews the security camera footage and spots two Slimers on screen simultaneously, which is the moment the imposture unravels.
Production
The episode carried the production number 201009.2 It was recorded on May 31, 1989, with Frank Welker recording his lines alone the same day.3 The regular voice cast included Dave Coulier, Frank Welker, Maurice LaMarche, Kath Soucie, and Rodger Bumpass. In broadcast order it followed Venk-Man! and preceded Transcendental Tourists. On the DVD collection (Vol. 4, Disc 3) it is preceded by The Ghostbusters Live! from Al Capone's Tomb! and followed by Transcendental Tourists.
