Story
This issue covers the mid-section of the Ghostbusters II story, picking up after the Ghostbusters' legal victory and carrying through their early investigation of the River of Slime beneath New York. The following Ghostbusters II chapters are adapted in this issue:
- Chapter 12: Two in the Box, the Ghostbusters reunite with Dana Barrett and begin examining her son Oscar's strange situation
- Chapter 13: Mood Slime, investigation into the psychoreactive pink slime running beneath the city
- Chapter 14: A Tub Full of Slime, a slime-fueled attack in a bathtub threatens Dana and Oscar
- Chapter 16: Vigo 101, Egon Spengler and Ray Stantz analyze their findings on Vigo and the slime
- Chapter 17: Fire-Trapped, the Ghostbusters face a dangerous situation during their investigation
- Chapter 18: In the Tunnel, exploration of the slime river beneath the city streets
Chapter 15 of the film is omitted entirely from this adaptation.
Deleted Scenes
Notably, this issue adapts two scenes from Ghostbusters II that were cut before the film's theatrical release and are not part of its final chapter structure:
- Possessed Ray Driving, a scene in which Ray Stantz is overtaken by the mood slime while driving
- Louis Is Proton Gun Crazy For Slimer, a comedic scene featuring Louis Tully with a proton wand and Slimer
