Plot
Egon Spengler was eating breakfast at the Firehouse when Slimer emptied an entire box of Freaky Flakes cereal in one gulp. Slimer showed Egon the back of the box: send in 100 coupons and receive a Super Duper Spy Kit. Egon told him it would take a very long time to collect that many coupons and left the room. Slimer had other ideas and pulled every box of Freaky Flakes from the kitchen cupboards, eating his way through all 100 boxes in one sitting. He mailed off the coupons and, almost instantly, a delivery van arrived with the kit.
A tape recorder in the kit congratulated Slimer, told him his mission was to protect the world from evil, and promptly self-destructed. Slimer put on his spy gear and headed into the city. After using his ring's hidden periscope to spy on a bird who quickly drew the curtains on him, Slimer overheard a suspicious conversation coming from a sewer drain. He followed it to a spooky mansion where he found Bruiser, a massive guard dog, standing watch for Dr. Strangedog.
Dr. Strangedog (a short, odd-looking mad-scientist dog in a lab coat) revealed his plan: his Pet-O-Matic Ray cannon would blast New York City, putting all dogs in charge and turning humans into their pets. Slimer immediately pictured the Ghostbusters living like dogs and knew he had to act. Bruiser started a three-minute countdown while Strangedog went to his office.
Slimer deployed a robot kitten from his spy kit to distract Bruiser. The kitten worked at first, but when Bruiser caught up to it, the robot turned on him and tore him apart. A battered Bruiser grabbed Slimer, rolled him up, and punted him outside like a football. Slimer's second gadget was a giant bone tied to a truck's bumper via his ring remote. Bruiser could not resist the smell, grabbed the bone, and was dragged away by the truck, taking Strangedog down with him in the chaos.
With the cannon still counting down and Slimer unable to stop it, he flew outside and deflected the ray back at the mansion. The Pet-O-Matic Ray destroyed the building, leaving Strangedog and Bruiser stranded on a tiny strip of land that then collapsed. Back at the Firehouse, Slimer found Egon and Ray Stantz on all fours, apparently transformed. It turned out they were only looking for one of Ray's contact lenses. Slimer howled happily.

Dr. Strangedog is the villain of this episode: a small, lab-coat-wearing mad scientist who happens to be a dog. His scheme centers on the Pet-O-Matic Ray, a cannon capable of reversing the social order of humans and dogs across an entire city. He is arrogant and quick to berate his henchman Bruiser whenever things go wrong. He appears only in this episode.
Bruiser is Dr. Strangedog's enormous bulldog henchman and personal bodyguard, assigned to guard the Pet-O-Matic Ray cannon during the countdown. Despite his intimidating size, he is easily distracted by a robot kitten and, more fatally, by a giant bone. He is defeated by his own inability to resist canine instincts. He appears only in this episode.
