Ghostbusters: Answer the Call (2016)
Jones appears in the film's Stonebrook Theatre sequence as Ely the Drummer, performing with the Beasts of Mayhem at Rock Revenge Fest XIV in New York City. The band opens with their song "Low Then High" while the Ghostbusters investigate beneath the stage, then launches into "Want Some More" just as the ghost Mayhem erupts through the stage floor. Lead singer Adam the Lead Singer (played by Adam Ray) hypes the crowd by declaring they have "summoned Satan himself" before Mayhem sends him flying into a speaker stack. After the Ghostbusters capture Mayhem and receive a standing ovation, the band resumes performing, at which point Jillian Holtzmann grabs the short-haired guitarist's guitar and smashes it on the stage before tossing it back.2
Both Beasts of Mayhem songs were written by Ryan Levine and Theodore Shapiro.3 Shapiro also served as the composer for the film's full score.4 The band also appears in two deleted scenes: "The Beasts of Mayhem," which reveals the lead singer sank his own money into the performance's special effects hoping to be scouted by the head of Thunder Gun Records, and "The Singer Gets High."
Jones is credited alongside fellow band members Adam Ray (Adam the Lead Singer, who also voices Slimer in the film4), Eugene Cordero (Eugene the Bass Guitarist), Ryan Levine (Rock Guitarist), Dan Teicher (Rock Guitarist with long hair), and Theodore Shapiro (Keyboardist).1
