Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire
Murray portrayed the Truck Driver in the post-credits sequence of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024). The scene was filmed at a truck stop in Newnan, Georgia.2
Murray originally auditioned in November 2023 for the role of the Vape Shop Clerk.2 That role required a body scan to support a visual effects element, which gave Murray pause: the audition came shortly after the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes concluded, and he was wary of the implications of a performer likeness scan at that moment in the industry.2 He was ultimately cast as the Truck Driver instead. On December 4, 2023, he attended a costume fitting at Trilith Studios in Georgia.2
During production of the credits tag, the crew flagged Murray's transition lenses as a potential problem for the shoot, but Murray pointed out they would not be visible during the planned night shoot.2 Takes kept escalating as the crew extended the distance he had to run while chasing the truck. The set was intended to be closed, but customers at a nearby McDonald's documented the shoot on their phones, and an Uber driver accidentally drove onto the set, nearly striking both Murray and the truck.2
