NOW Comics Vol. 1 #26 is the twenty-sixth issue of The Real Ghostbusters comic series published by NOW Comics. Released in October 1990, it features the return of the Boogieman and was written by James Van Hise with art by Neil Grahame.

Plot

The Boogieman returns and begins terrorizing Tommy Newkirk and other children as part of a scheme to exact revenge on Egon Spengler. The Ghostbusters discover that when they recaptured Samhain, one ghost was never properly restored to the Containment Unit. That ghost was the Boogieman. After escaping, he fed on the fear generated by Samhain's minions, growing powerful enough to return to his own realm. When the Ghostbusters follow him into the Boogieman's realm, Egon identifies his critical weakness: the Boogieman had not yet fully reconstituted into a corporeal form. Exploiting this, the team recaptures him and returns him to the Containment Unit.

Notes

Egon states that at the time Samhain escaped the Containment Unit, there were 7,387 ghosts held inside it.
