Early life and education
Coppola's interest in performance began in the fourth grade, when he was cast as the Ghost of Jacob Marley in a school production of A Christmas Carol.1 He continued participating in theater throughout his school years, pursuing roles in every production he could, with or without a guaranteed part.
He attended Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater and English.1 During his sophomore year he discovered stand-up comedy at a Thursday-night open mic showcase and began performing approximately one week later.1 He performed at the open mic weekly for nearly a year, gradually building paid bookings at local comedy clubs and corporate events. After his junior year he left college to tour professionally, returning later to complete his degree before immediately going back on the road.

Coppola has worked as a touring stand-up comedian for more than thirteen years. His material is primarily observational, delivered from what his official biography describes as "a cynical, uniquely skewed, and charmingly naive perspective."1 He has performed across the continental United States and throughout the Caribbean.
Early in his stand-up career he was a founding member of the Jacksonville, Florida Comedy Zone Comedy Workshop and helped develop the Make-Me-Laugh Monday comedy show series.1 His touring work has included regular guest spots on nationally syndicated morning radio programs, among them John Boy and Billy, Rick and Bubba, and Bob and Sheri.1
He co-hosts the podcast New Bits With Vac & Vinnie.1

In 2013 he created, developed, and wrote the seven-part web comedy series Code Name: 12, in which he also starred, playing the characters Dave Smith and Morton.5
He played Eric Darnell in the feature film The Evolution Effect (2017), produced through Dark Footage Entertainment, a production company with which he has a continuing creative relationship as head writer.6 His responsibilities there include writing scripts for production, overseeing development, performing rewrites, and assisting producers.1
In 2022 he appeared in the Amazon Prime Video action film Samaritan, directed by Julius Avery and starring Sylvester Stallone.2 In 2018 he relocated from Los Angeles to Atlanta, Georgia, where he continues to work as both a screen actor and a touring comedian.1
