Career
Mercedes began his professional performance career at Walt Disney World's Disney's Hollywood Studios, where he spent approximately five years as a live performer in the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular.2 That daily live-stunt environment gave him foundational training in high falls, fight choreography, head takes, weapons handling, wire work, and teeterboard work alongside seasoned industry professionals.2 He subsequently pursued a career in film and television stunt work and acting.
His stunt credits include The Florida Project (2017), Only (2017), Vacation Friends (2021), Red Notice (2021), Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), The Menu (2022), and the DC television series Black Lightning.1 In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023) he appeared on screen in the memorably titled role "Gamora Shoots This Guy!"3 He also served as a stunt double on The Punisher: One Last Kill (2022) and on upcoming productions Is God Is (2026) and Golden (2026).3
On the acting side, his television credits include recurring appearances in Cobra Kai (2018, two episodes as AJ) and a guest role in The Quad (2018).3 Film acting credits include Willy's Wonderland (2021, as Dan Lorraine), Big George Foreman (2023, as a Foreman cornerman), and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023).3
