Career
Mohler worked within ILM's production management team at a time when the Lucasfilm-owned studio was expanding its volume of theatrical features beyond its Star Wars roots. Her known credits from this period span three 1988-1989 productions.2
On Willow (1988), directed by Ron Howard, she served as Unit Production Supervisor for ILM.2 That production was notable for pioneering the digital morphing technique developed at ILM by Dennis Muren and Doug Smythe, which would become a foundational VFX tool through the 1990s.3
On Ghostbusters II (1989), Mohler received the title of Visual Effects Producer for ILM, the senior production credit for the studio's contribution.1 She worked alongside Director of Effects Photography Mark Vargo and Visual Effects Art Director Harley Jessup.1 ILM's work on the film included the Slimer puppet sequences, supernatural crowd scenes in the finale, and the animated Vigo painting effects.14 The visual effects were produced at ILM's facility in Marin County, California.1
IMDb also credits her on Wildfire (1988), a romance drama directed by Zalman King.2
No further public record of her career beyond these late-1980s credits has been located.
