George Gerard Colucci (born August 24, 1960, Jersey City, New Jersey), known professionally as George Gerard, is an American actor and writer.1 He has worked in film and television across more than three decades, accumulating character and background roles in a number of New York-shot productions. He appeared uncredited in Ghostbusters II (1989) as the Man in Cab.23

George Gerard Colucci was born on August 24, 1960, in Jersey City, New Jersey. He is the nephew of David Toma, the real-life narcotics undercover detective whose career inspired the television series Toma (1973) and its successor Baretta (1975).1 He is also a third cousin of the boxing champion Rocky Graziano (born Thomas Rocco Barbella), the middleweight world champion whose story was told in the 1956 film Somebody Up There Likes Me.14
Colucci began accumulating screen credits in the mid-1980s in New York-set productions. His earliest known credit is an uncredited role as a high school student in Heaven Help Us (1985), followed by a speaking part as a NYU Law student in An Autumn's Tale (1987). He appeared as an uncredited Staten Island Ferry commuter in Mike Nichols' Working Girl (1988), which was shot on location across New York City.1
Through the late 1980s and early 1990s, he continued taking character and atmosphere roles in several notable Hollywood productions filming in New York: an uncredited role in Rooftops (1989), and then larger background appearances in Kathryn Bigelow's Blue Steel (1990) as a police cadet and in The Hard Way (1991) as a theatre-goer. His most substantial early film credit was the role of Dr. Michael Foster in the science fiction horror film Metamorphosis: The Alien Factor (1990).15
Later film credits include uncredited appearances in Naked in New York (1993), Let It Be Me (1995), and Faithful (1996). He also received credit as writer on [Blank] My Life (2016).1
On television, Colucci built a recurring presence in the Law & Order franchise, playing Mr. Schmidt in Law & Order (2000) and appearing as two different characters across multiple episodes of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 2018 and 2020. He also appeared in The Blacklist as Farrell (2022) and in FBI: Most Wanted as Frank (2022).1
