Bob Fuentes III is a veteran American animation director and storyboard artist whose career spans more than four decades. He contributed to many of the most prominent animated series of the 1980s and 1990s, and directed five episodes of Extreme Ghostbusters in 1997.
Career
Fuentes began his career in animation in 1981 as a layout artist, with early credits on The Kid Super Power Hour with Shazam! and the animated fantasy series Blackstar, both produced by Filmation.1
Through the 1980s he transitioned into storyboard work, becoming a storyboard artist on several high-profile Saturday-morning and syndicated productions. His credits in this period include Muppet Babies (1985-1990), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987-1994), Tiny Toon Adventures (1990), My Little Pony Tales (1992), Goof Troop (1992), Bonkers (1993), All-New Dennis the Menace (1993), and Animated Hero Classics (1993).1
He moved into episodic direction in the mid-1990s. After his work on Extreme Ghostbusters, he directed episodes of the Nickelodeon series Rocket Power (1999-2001) and Rugrats (2001). Later directing credits include Finley the Fire Engine (2006-2007) and Race to the Future (2016).1
