Plot
This issue concludes the four-part "Tobin and the Maze of Time" arc. The arc established that Tobin, the legendary paranormal author behind Tobin's Spirit Guide, had been imprisoned in a dream realm by a demon called Evil, who served The Council of Eight. After pursuing the quest across multiple issues, the Ghostbusters finally locate Tobin and confront Evil directly. They succeed in defeating Evil and are returned home. Although Tobin appears not to have survived, the ending is left deliberately ambiguous: Egon suggests the team has not seen the last of Tobin, and Tobin's portrait on the back of a Spirit Guide is shown smiling and winking.
