This section collects the principal characters of Extreme Ghostbusters, the 1997 animated continuation of the franchise. The show follows a new generation of recruits trained by Egon Spengler, the only one of the original four Ghostbusters to stay on full time at the firehouse.

The four students who form the new team are Eduardo Rivera, Roland Jackson, Garrett Miller, and Kylie Griffin. They are joined by returning figures from the earlier series, including Janine Melnitz, who comes back as receptionist, and Slimer, who still lives at the firehouse.
