New Ghostbusters is an ongoing comic book series from IDW Publishing that continued the storyline of the earlier Ghostbusters Ongoing Series. The first issue arrived in February 2013, with the creative team of writer Erik Burnham and artist Dan Schoening carrying over from the previous volume.1
Premise
The series opens with the original Ghostbusters gone, pulled away into another dimension. With paranormal trouble continuing in New York, a new group steps up to put on the proton packs and take the team's place. The central thread of the opening arc is whether this New Ghostbusters lineup can rescue their predecessors or end up sharing their fate.2
