Kylie learns that a Grundel has escaped a cacoon inside a tree, and is loose in the city. She remembers a childhood memory, of the ORIGINAL Grundel preying on her, and her freind, Jack. She manages to turn him away, however, Jack isn't so lucky, and gets taken into the Grundels ploys. But, Kylie wants to be sure, so she uses an experimental device to talk to the Grundel inside the containment unit. Howevre, Rolands younger brother, who is visiting the firehouse, wittnesses this event, and accidentally turns off the power to the device. It turns off, the ORIGINAL Grundel is free once again, and now they have TWO Grundels on the loose. With Rolands brother being the next victim.
