The trigger tip is the name for the aluminum ring piece attached to the end of the clear acrylic barrel of the thrower. A Nycoil banjo is attached to one side of the ring. It's been theorized that the purpose of the trigger tip was to aid in re-setting the spring action of the barrel extension mechanism.
