Proton Pack

This is the complete "Phase 2" of my proton pack. NOTE: As you can see in some of the pictures, the bumper knob was quite an ordeal as an old tipped screw was drilled from the surface of the bumper into a resin support for the bumper protruding from the cyclotron. After a large ordeal of drilling from the underside of the bumper was I able to pop the resin knob from the bumper and use the electric drill to loosen the screw's flat head from the super glue and pop it out from the other side with a small hammer. After that, the new bumper knob rested flat on the surface of the bumper by the aid of an inch-long bolt screw. However, the bolt screw's head had no room between the bumper and the cyclotron support; resin had to be chipped and sanded away until the bolt's head rested firmly against it. Now, this doesn't mention the fact that before all else, I had to remove the pack from the Alice frame in order to remove the bumper as there were nuts holding the bumper in from the pack's interior. To make matters worse, we applied bondo to the interior a couple years back to improve the thinner layers of the pack molding and in doing so got bondo on one of the screw tips. Before I could get the nut off, I chipped away at the bondo with my pocket knife for a half hour before I was successful.. Translation??... oh, the life of a geek =) If I were to lead any other life, it would get boring......
