My second pack build, Proton Pack V1A. A.K.A my attempt at a lighter, cheaper pack to wear to cons and Halloween. Its a vaccu-formed shell from D-42, with a gun kit from Throwing Chicken. As expected, a much different experience then working on a hard resin and fiberglass shell, but I think a little easier after getting it all trimmed down. After finishing the pack, I have confirmed that my goal of a lighter pack was achieved. My original, V1, weighed in at 28-29lbs. The new one, V1A, weighed in at......17lbs! For a total loss of more then 10lbs including gun! Success.
