Slime Blower

Think of it more as a representation than a prop replica. The goal was three-fold. Build one in under a week ( which accounts for the in accuracies and mish-mosh parts that don't match the screen-used ones ), make it so light that a guy with a back injury could wear it and not being in pain, and make it fire silly string. Yeah, I could have made something much more accurate looking but it would have taken a month or more, and probably weighed more. Surprisingly this thing weighs about HALF of one of my proton packs. ( Slimeblower = 20lbs vs. proton pack's 35 lbs. ) The main tank is just a section of air duct from Home Depot with rings of hobby & craft styrofoam glued inside to keep the shape. The ends are plastic bowls with layers of bondo sanded to a perfect curvature. The tip of the gun twists off to allow for a canister of silly string. The handle of the gun pushes forward and the silly string goes off. It's missing some of the more accurate items like the vest that goes under the straps, but I can live with that not present. So far, most people haven't even noticed this missing.
