I had a tight deadline to put together a GB1 Pack, so instead of starting from scratch, I decided to refurbish a damaged GB2 pack I got through a friend. Little did I know how much work it would take. Among the problems, the old Zombie Repellent shell had cracks, the Ion Arm was split into several pieces and had mount holes in strange places, the electronics were toast, and the thrower was completely unusable, etc. So, in just over 4 weeks, I repaired what I could and sourced parts from Spongeface, CPU64, noslliT, nstevic01, FreekyGeeky, the GBFans shop and jimfin's e-cig kit. Many hours spent with a drill, a Dremel, Soldering Iron, Heat Gun, Bondo, Epoxy, Sandpaper and paint later, I now have a GB1 pack with an aluminum thrower with a working pop-mech and a vibrating motor. It isn't perfect, and I haven't weathered it, but it is ready for Halloween.
