Well here it is, I started this pack in 2001 working with the ASAP Holloween Active Project. I, like everyone, fell behind. This was built with a hybrid of Stefan's, Norm's and Myselfs plans. I think it is coming along rather nicely. The Plastic Spacer was built by WolverinesX, and the other spacer was built by Javamonkey. They are both awesome and super accurate. I went with the JM spacer though, because of the cosmetic plating. For the most part, this pack is 1/4" hobby wood. The Crank Generator was made using 1/2" wood, with 45 degree cuts. It looks seamless. I found a great thing while making this pack, filler putty. Ok.. ok.. so everyone has used them. But I found that it filled the holes, and make the whole thing look like one piece. It really looks good, and is really solid. I plan on putting some Bondo on it to, once I'm better in using it. The HGA is made with PVC, and a custom machined metal top. It is held on using the same method on the real packs, with a single head cap screw through the middle. The ion arm metal thingy (scientific term) is also machined out of metal, it really adds to the pack. Several dozen coats of primer and semi-gloss black spray paint have been added to give it that perfect color. The light kit was just recently installed. It is a Hyperdyne Labs kit, which is amazing! Watching it light up and go is great. The only things I am waiting on, it some 1/8" tubing, and the split loom to the gun. There is also some major parts of the gun that needs to be done, but the pack is pretty much all done. -AJ Quick --AJ Quick (talk)
