The Ghostbusters are hired as consultants on a horror movie set. The director wraps his movie up in record time. His secret? Real ghosts agreed to work for him in his movie if he helped them make theirs. The title? "The End of the Ghostbusters"!

• Ray references MJM Studios, a name parody of the real MGM Studios
• Gil Hamstrung is very similar in stature and voice to actor, John Wayne.
• Reference is made to Oujia Boards.
• The line "You'll believe a Ghostbuster can fry" is a reference to the tagline of the 1978 Superman movie, "You'll believe a man can fly".
• Peter has his own head shots.
• During a chase scene, Peter stops to stomp some buildings in a miniature city set and says "I've always wanted to do that!", in similar fashion to the first movie where he makes time to attempt to pull the old tablecloth trick during the trapping of Slimer.
