Sorry if this has been mentioned before and is old news. I'm new at this.

They look like rods or nails that've been hammered into the shelf the pedal and Trap are sat on, rather than parts of the pedal itself. I suspect they're there to keep the prop from sliding off the shelf.

Yep makes sense, they are all over the place on that display, around the trap, etc.
