I mean Gil sarcastically joked about “killing all the ghostbusters” at the YHS premiere stream. I figured that was closure that none of them die.

So i wonder what this means
I mean, there are a lot of reasons people cry at movies, not all of them actually sad!

Anyway, I can't find spoilers much because I can't read the websites I'm not registered with (like twitter, etc.).

I still think any mention of social media posts about the movie (no matter how vague) should probably go on the other thread at this point (any mods on?).

That’s all I’ve heard so far.
Uhoh.

I’ve been having dreams the last week or so that I’ve seen the movie and was massively disappointed.

I hope they weren’t visions!

Saw the new ghostbusters tonight at the premiere. It wasnt great. Quite boring actually. Felt like nostalgia porn and thats it

Sounds like the same dirt they threw at Afterlife..if thats the case then we're on the right track.

Don’t want spoilers but was hoping for some general impressions at least.
Deadderek was here promising info but seems to have vanished from the board for now

Was there any agreement attendees had to sign to not give away spoilers publicly?

I just wanna know if RPJ theme is in the movie (original, not the re-recorded one nor the remix in the trailers) and whereabouts it is :-D

How was it?

Every bit as amazing as I expected. The Ghostbusters belong in New York, and it hits the spot.

On the same level of Afterlife? How would you rank it with the other GB films?

Honestly? I feel it's better than Afterlife. It definitely moves along a lot faster. No "dead" spots or parts that dragged on. Rank? GB1, GB2, FE, & Afterlife.

I’ve heard it’s got some sad parts at the end

Maybe my definition of sad is different, but no not really. No tears shed from anyone I saw that's for sure.

Was there any agreement attendees had to sign to not give away spoilers publicly?

Nope.

Yay or nay? Without spoilers?

Big yay.

Yes, and he was in attendance at the premiere. It didn't sound like a new mix to me...

Guys. It’s not “dirt” they threw at the movie. It’s their opinion. A valid one.

Afterlife was a member berry fest. If nostalgia isn’t your thing, then I don’t think it’s a cynical take to say the movie is bad. Or boring.

If your a critic and see something like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man AGAIN only this time he’s all Baby Groot/Baby Yoda/PORG’s/Minions it’s not hard to see that the movie is really unoriginal and lazy.

Nothing about Afterlife felt fresh. The Amblin Goonies style movie has been done to death now. And Finn Wolfhard has been cast in 3 of them!

Had they been first on that bandwagon, before Super 8, & 3 seasons of Stranger things, IT,? It might’ve hit different.

Thanks! I mean... I guess the definition of sad for a lot of us being characters dying. Basically... did that happen (spoiler thread and I don't personally care, but could use tags or DM if you'd like).

Was the angst level balanced? I know it's subjective, but I liked the characters in GBA and was a bit concerned they'd get annoying in this one.
