In the episode The Hole in the Wall Gang there is a scene where Ray references television shows from the 50s and 60s, specifically The Outer Limits, I Love Lucy, and The Twilight Zone. I don't get why he was referencing them, the whole scene was weird and his referencing those shows was just so random.

When he went into the hole, he passed through another dimension and likened it to Twilight Zone and Outer Limits which used similar phenomena in stories like Little Girl Lost. I Love Lucy was just a joke by the episode's writer probably.
