Do you know if this issue is fixed on the V2 wands? Since hearing about this after getting mine, I've kept the wand extended as to not have to deal with this issue appearing.

I believe there's a teeny tiny channel for the cable to sit in on the v2 wands. I try to avoid opening/closing the pop mech on my v1 but next time I crack it open I might still do some pre-emptive modifications to prevent it from breaking in the future.
