Trap pedal hose/bellows attachment

How are people securing this to the trap base? Is it just a wire from the pedal bottom, through the hose, through the base, and secured to a screw or something on the bottom of the pedal base or are there any other attachment points to the base or pedal?

This is the part I am talking about

Are you referring to the rubber hose the split-loom fits over? It's usually just forced over the barbed ends of the Foster quick disconnects:

Sorry, I was not clear. Not the hose from trap to pedal, I was talking about the bellows part.

At least some (if not all) of the Trap Pedals had a steel wire that looped through a pair of holes that were drilled into the pedal foot plate, and then terminated in a hole drilled through the base of the pedal, here's the best reference we have from one of the props that went up for auction a while back:

That is perfect! Thanks for the reference pics. Looks like the wire is the only thing holding it on and not secured any other way.
