Talk about stuff that has nothing to do with Ghostbusters!

Okay, I know this is kind of a stupid question. But I was wondering if it would be advantageous to have one's props appraised and/or insured. I mean, we invest alot of time and money into our props and some of us are lucky enough to get some of our stuff signed by the actors in the movie.

So if you have a few thousand dollars in movie memorabilia, would you think it would be a smart move to go about getting it appraised and insured?

Or is it just a stupid idea. I want to hear what you guys think.
