For anyone doubting this method, it works great. I just bought generic pills from Walgreens that contain Phenazopyridine HCl and it does the trick. I didn’t even soak the whole tube. Just boiled a half gallon of water, dumped it in a disposable bucket and dropped 6 pills in it. Stirred it up real well and then used a Solo cup to pour just enough inside the tube to fill it up. Left it for probably 5 minutes then dumped and rinsed.

It’s been so long since I dyed a hose, I thought I would give this a shot and I’m satisfied with the results.

Thank you for this!! When my son made his outfit 13 years ago he used a yellow sharpie on the outside of the tube and while it worked, it took him quite a while!! Now that I'm reworking his suit this will save me a LOT of Sharpie time!!!
