It's a nice idea, but it isn't likely that a AAA-rated game studio will make a Ghostbusters MMO on the whim of an online petition.

We're not going to get a Fortnite or Halo-level Ghostbusters game, we need to be realistic about the standing of the franchise and the fandom, and the dollar value we hold.

We're extremely lucky we got Ghostbusters: The Video Game and Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed.

I would definitely buy this type of game but I prefer they collaborate with Nintendo and just make the next Luigi’s Mansion an official GB game. It’s literally already that without the branding.

Kinda got to agree with Kingpin here. A petition from such a niche group of people likely wouldn't make a AAA studio make a game.
Especially when you consider they still need to go through Sony and Ghost Corps. So even if a company wanted to, it's still a matter of going through them.

Also as of late, I am wary of AAA studios when it comes to games anyways. Given poor optimization, lack luster mechanics, etc etc. This is a different topic all together for another day though.

If however you still wanted to pursue this still, best idea is to go for the license holder itself. They hold the power.

No thank you. You're not going to strong arm a studio into making a game they don't want to make. AAA or indie, doesn't matter.

Sony owns PlayStation and Ghostbusters and they already built New York , the firehouse, and game engine in the PS5 Spiderman. If we can't convince them to reskin Spiderman, I don't think we can get anyone else. Id still sign it if it didn't require my personal info

That'd only work if they got Insomniac to make the game, and even then, there'd be substantial work to remove all the Marvel influences from that NYC map. Not to sound condescending, but this petition will never work. If Sony was interested in a Ghostbusters video game, they would have renewed their working contract with Illfonic to keep content and updates happening with Spirits Unleashed
