We're saddened to report the death of actress Jennifer Runyon, who is best known to Ghostbusters fans as Columbia University student Jennifer, whose Zenner card E.S.P. test scene helped introduce us to the character of Dr. Peter Venkman.
Runyon's death was announced by a member of her family via her Facebook profile, where they noted that the actress's passing had come after:
Beyond Ghostbusters, Runyon had a lead role in the first season of sitcom Charles in Charge, as well as noted guest appearances in Another World, Quantum Leap and Murder, She Wrote.
More recently, Runyon took part in the filming of fan documentary Cleaning Up The Town: Remembering Ghostbusters, where she reflected on her brief but memorable role in the 1984 film.
