Past work includes: Glitch Techs, Rise of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur
I had no idea Flying Bark was responsible for What If...?, Monkey Kid, or the 100% Wolf series... That gives me some confidence, however I really hope the writing team isn't the same crew as the ones who worked on Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as what I've seen of that show was extremely cringe.

As Zeta noted though, one of the animation company's strengths is dynamic/action animated sequences.
Off topic for a hot second, but yeah, season 1 of Rise was rough with some gems in there, but season 2 was really good with some great writing and some hilarious jokes (again, humor is subjective). I will say to check out the movie as there's a HUGE tonal shift from the show and is REALLY good with some, at times, hard to look at body horror (no, seriously)

So... Ghostbusters makes its way to Magic the Gathering as playable cards, but Magic The Gathering is just now getting an animated series? WTF, that seems kind of messed up since Yugioh has been around just as long with several many animated series. Crap, I thought we'd been waiting a long time!

At Licensing Expo 2025, Jamie Stevens, EVP of Worldwide Consumer Products at Sony Pictures Entertainment said the following, "We’re doubling down on this dynamic medium with new projects like an animated Ghostbusters series and a series spinoff of ‘Hotel Transylvania’ entitled ‘Motel Transylvania.’ We’re excited to introduce fans of all ages and interests to these fresh stories and the unforgettable experiences they are sure to deliver."

Well, here's hoping Ghostbusters comes up during today's Tudum event.

Then on GB Day, Jason Reitman will be in NY. Maybe the show will get a mention.

Also noticed Netflix Animation will be at the Annecy Festival with panels on June 10 and 12. Maybe then, too, but that is more of an industry only event so details tend to be scant.

Which is superb to hear (I assume they used Seasons 1 and 2 as their inspiration). Well animated, with dark stories, but interjected with banter and a little humour to have a candle of light and hope.

As optimistic as that sounds, I really think they'll be just going with a "monster of the week" gimmick. We'll see I suppose.

Honestly my thoughts for the inspiration being taken is the look of the show- the characters won't resemble the actors and have weird hair styles.

Variety's summary from a Netflix Animatoin panel at Annecy Festival
https://variety.com/2025/tv/global/mine ... 236429388/
Dominique Bazay presented a new take on “Ghostbusters,” developed with Sony Pictures Animation. “This is ‘Ghostbusters’ like you’ve never seen it,” she said. “We’re working with Flying Bark in Sydney and a brand new team in Madrid.” After sharing some lush concept art of a gritty-looking New York City, she explained, “Our goal is never photorealism but something tactile and tangible.”
