I'd like to see them offer this again, but with incentives and a lower price to move it across the finish line. I still think this will get funded but if it doesn't they know there's demand for this.
If it doesn't fund they won't try again, especially not at a lower price. That's never happened for failed Haslabs. It's now or never.

As for the movement being slow, that's pretty normal for Haslabs. There is always a slow period, especially in this case where there are no tiers.

Giantman stayed under its funding goal for the entire campaign until the last day or so, and then it gained thousands. It only missed the last tier due to server issues.

Ecto-1 is more popular and is further along. I don't see this not funding. There will be a push at the end as all the people that are over thinking their purchase flood in just before the deadline.

Same! I started collecting 1/6 scale figures way after the original run and pre ordered the Present Toys ones. Definitely going to cancel and get the Blitzway - do you know when the pre orders would go up?

I laughed at that bit too. Who knew books would eat into the plastic budget that deep XD

Gonna have to 3D print some extra books for the stack!

I just hate that GBnews, geekdadlife and YHS are always saying "pls send in your questions and we will make sure to ask" and then on two opportunities none were asked, although they weren't related to the decals nor to what the future may hold. I just hope at this point it'll make the 12,000 and the line continues. Still salty that no gigameter for Egon is included.

There were quite a few people on Facebook who mentioned they cancelled their pledges because of one reason or another, so it might be that.

It doesnt appear to have gone down according to this tracker. However, unless there's a significant last minute boost it's not on a good trajectory.

9355 backers. They need to do something to push the interest. I'm still scratching my head at why they aren't offering teir rewards like they had with the Rattler. Patches, an operaters manual, fake keys, anything. Unfortanatley Tulley is not going to push the haslab to the 1200 number. I'm still confident it will get funded. We haven't failed in a backing yet but it is looking dicey.

They aren't offering anything because aside from Louis initially, they offered everything else that would've/could've been a tier reward up-front.

Patches, an operator's manual, fake keys... That would cost additional money that wasn't in the original budget for the project. For the same reason why they didn't go for a programmable set of marquees on the Ecto-1A roof, the project doesn't have a bottomless pit of money to pull from.

Yeah, I'd say this campaign gives you everything related to to the basic item right from the get go so backer tiers are completely unnecessary because they're already included. If people can't appreciate getting a ton of "extra" stuff right out the door and are still asking for more, then they never really wanted the actual car to begin with. I see so many people going "there are too many Ectos already, not worth backing" and that just shows you that the people not backing are only looking at this as a GB collectible and nothing more than that, while a lot of people, and I can't speak on everyone's behalf but most of the people I know, are backing this because they're primarily figure collectors who want a 1/12 scale vehicle to go with the figures they own. Bonus points that it's from a property they love.

They can't offer a multipack of Ecto-1A replacement stickers as a tier unlock? Guess that would be breaking the bank for them. Even after our money sits in a Hasbro bank account for a year gaining interest. Probably $80 per unit to make with 800%+ return. The sheer amount of greed, I tellz ya's. They made 5 billion in profit last year and yet plastic is still too expensive to produce these things. No longer comfortable making millions. MF's still act poor making multi billion. It's gross.

I think they've already confirmed they're including an additional sheet of decals in the set.

And offering up a spare set of decals would seem a bit of a crappy tier unlock after what we've seen with some of the past HasLabs.

Personally i'd rather see them offer the decals for purchase then a tier. If we get 364 backers a day we might be able to push this over the finish line. I'm looking at the math right now and it's really looking grim. I keep mentioning the rattler but that made backing by the skin of it's teeth. Hoping for a push then maybe i'll be able to back.

I'm sure there will be fan made alternatives after this comes out as well.

In my case it's either the mondo figures or the Ecto 1. Not both. I'll only be able to back the basic version this round and I already have a large Ecto. If I have the means i'll back it when it's funded. Haven't decided yet. Iv'e been waiting a long time for decent RGB figures.

slaysghosts wrote: November 25th, 2024, 3:27 pm Genuinely curious, why do people wait to back at the end of the campaign? If your card only runs if it gets fully funded, why do people or at least yourself, wait?
In some cases, there are people that won't backna project until it funds. These are people that don't really want the Haslab, but they don't want to NOT have the Haslab.

Then there are people that procrastinate. They are fence sitters that waffle back and forth and don't want to commit. They usually come around on the last day.

Then you have people that just flat out don't trust Hasbro to not charge them right away or they don't pay attention and think Hasbro charges right away.

Everyone has their own reasons, but there are always a ton if people that come in at the end of a project. Since we have seen positive movement every day, we should expect a last day push that will take us over the threshold. I would be surprised if this doesn't sound.

I mean the number of backers has gone up in the last 24 hours. I looked yesterday at it was at 9,400+. It now has another 400+ backers added since then. It'll be a roller coaster for the next 6 days, but I am pretty confident that it will fund. Also, the Venkman Mondo pre-order ends today too. I believe in a few hours. So, if you're on the fence with that one now is the time. I backed both and now I am broke. Thanksgiving and Christmas this year: Image
