Anyone else underwhelmed at the merch line we got for this? No plasma series, No legos..a Plasma Series Book Shop Ray would be awesome.

I like the ECU mini figs, a nice “cleaner” alternative than last times “mini puff” collectables.

The coolest new thing to come out was the talking Slimer, but i can barely find that anywhere.

I dunno. things felt more “in full swing” with the last film. I know some budget goes to merch right?

It's been a pretty poor show so far, especially considering FE had so much more toy potential than Afterlife and the fact it's Ghostbusters 40th anniversary this year. There's another merch announcement coming in June but it feels too late to tease anything FE related. I guess Afterlife merch sales didn't live up to Hasbro's expectations and has soured them on releasing a major toyline this time around.

I've been wanting to pick up the fright features Gary & Callie figures but here in the UK they're pretty much nonexistent (bar third party eBay sellers) :(

It does feel like the UK has been left out in the cold for toys this time round. I was hoping to grab the new fright features too, but nothing.

The Fright Features were / are all available at Zavvi and HMV in the UK. I picked up a full set and an extra Egon for my desk.

Forbidden Planet / Amazon have the comic and Funko’s.

I guess it’s plausible Hasbro had a bigger wave 2 in the pipeline but were waiting on box office reception to pull the trigger and decided to stick with the classic figures.

Like I mentioned in the other toy thread my Wal-Mart got none of the new stuff but that’s a local issue. I agree there should have been way more stuff.

I’m very upset I have not been able to get any of the new Mini Puft plushies. I don’t live near any major theater chain and their online shops are never gonna restock. The Shoulder Pals were just completely removed. They seemed to be Regal exclusive.

I hate theater-only merchandise. Why limit everything to theaters? Novelty buckets I understand but the plushies and other stuff definitely could have been retail.

Some of the second-hand prices are ok but others are trying to ripping you off. It should be illegal. It’s sad because they’re in the hands of people who care nothing about the products. They’re just being greedy.

It sucks. I get that they're trying to lure people in with 'exclusive' merch but if you're nowhere near that theatre chain then it's just a big tease. Odeon in the UK was offering these cool Garraka cups but the one in my town didn't even receive them.

Weirdly when Afterlife came out there were also these retailer exclusive Slimer and Stay Puft plushies which then turned up in the claw machine at my local Harvester.

This seems likely. I bet in a few months someone will unearth pics of some prototype FE plasma series figures.

Sorry, I was a bit vague there - I meant the Phoebe, Trevor, Callie and Gary toys from FE. I thought they were being called fright features too, but I think i was confused!

They did call the first wave fright features when Afterlife was released, but now Hasbro has released the classics line it makes things a bit awkward haha. These new figures have an 'ecto-stretch' gimmick rather than the fright features on the accompanying ghost figurines, so I guess we should probably start referring to them as that instead.

I know I'm the only who seems to care about GB Playmobil, but what I don't get is how Playmobil is still selling GB sets directly and even brought back some retired sets from time to time but has had no new sets for Afterlife or Frozen Empire, or just at all.

Amazingly my local toy shop still has a few Ecto-1s on the shelves that I wrongly assumed would have been snapped up immediately when they were restocked.

The toylines seem slimmed down massively compared to Afterlife, they didn't even release a new toy pack, just a retool of the proton blaster MOD. GB merch feels more and more targeted at collectors and older fans rekindling their childhood now rather than trying to pull in younger fans. That will change when the new animated series gets released though!

With the 40th Anniversary coming in June (along with the home video release for GB:FE), maybe they are holding off to announce anything until then? One could hope anyways...

Most likely saving announcements for GB Day. But there might be some leaks before hand e.g. listings on Amazon.

Ok this is amazing. I mentioned I live in a small town and my local Walmart got none of the toys (haven’t been back in over month but I doubt it) We don’t have a Target but we do have a GameStop.

I saw the blind boxes on their website but since I didn’t know what I’d get I didn’t order any. So I went to look around today. There was 1 in the whole store...AND it was the one I wanted. The angry Slimer. I knew it was him because of the chart posted online. You can see the vague letter D on the back. What are the odds?!

I carefully opened the box because I think it’s so cute they modeled it after the Containment Unit. I always planned on keeping it.
