If judging by the Rattler campaign:
https://www.hasbropulse.com/product/gi- ... t1ykc4gNtT
I think the third tier got backed by the skin of it's teeth. Judging from it's figures they only offered a few so i'm hoping we get more then that.
That's where i'm getting the idea for changable parts. Hoping Haslab is more generous with the Ecto.

Seeing the pictures and I am not sure. If they just had chrome on it, I would have liked it more. It's one of the most beautiful parts of these cars that should always be there. Also, not sure because I am not into figures that much as I just wanted 1A. Sorry that I am not as excited as I wanted to be. Maybe it will grow on me during the next few months, I don't know. Everything else looks fine with the car.
I can see in the pictures the inside of the roof is thicker than the previous car for the wires & maybe the battery.

Do many toys these days beyond special editions feature chrome detailing?
I'd like to hope modern chrome detailing is more hard-wearing than '80s chrome, but I'm no expert in that field.

I remember my brothers having Rhino from the M.A.S.K. range, and after five-or-so years of playing, the chrome was really rubbing off of it.

Probably more for structure than to conceal wiring (I figure there's one battery compartment in the car for the front and rear lights, the driver's door spotlight, and the dashboard... And a second battery compartment in each roof piece for all the roof rack equipment).

That's unfortunate this was how we found out but that's the Internet.
The two Plasma Series Ecto-1's were both $50? Any guesses what the price of this one will be? $150? $200? $250?
I was going to pass initially but the confirm there's a Ecto-1a in the mix has me begrudgingly interested.
I know this HasLab is only beginning but yeah, a movie canon Firehouse roof to basement or Ecto-C are on my wishlist for the future along with pie-in-the-sky wish being Ecto-Goggles. I'd have to think on it but 2 figures if they have to be via HasLab as a stretch goal would be Gary, Callie, and Janine.

The Ecto-1a will get me to back early. $250 would be nicer on the wallet
I was kind of hoping this years haslab would have been Frozen Empire related with the combination of Ecto Goggles and the compact thrower, but i'm excited for this to get started. ( It would be kind of nice if we get two in the box before they start this haslab though.)

Based on past Haslabs, I'm guessing this will be closer to $500 for the deluxe version. I'm also predicting those grey suit GBs are not inuded in the haslab, but will be a pulse exclusive wave that goes up for preorder around the time of the Haslab.
I think the base option is just the ecto 1 with Slimer , Luis the library ghost are tiers, and the "deluxe" option will have parts to make ecto-1a, but I get there is no option to switch back and forth once the decals are on.

I really expected a Frozen Empire Ecto based on the clues, with at least Gary and Callie as figures. But that is a nice surprise. Ecto even has strobe lights and the cadillac sign, so it's licensed. Cool.
On the comment that Haslab don't do repeats: people always ask after a campaign has ended if these items will be available again or via retail. Answer is no. A Frozen Empire Ecto would be a new one though. Can you imagine next year's GB Haslab would be the firehouse..our new Ectos need a garage! Friday...come on, hurry up!

They couldn't have made it fire a stream for a minute or so as that would make the packs redundant for most busts, but the way it fired they really should have went with some kind of different effect instead of a regular proton beam to make it a different weapon, instead of just an insanely weak neutrona wand.gerard55 wrote: ↑October 15th, 2024, 3:10 pm I never got the point of it either, it fires a stream for maybe a second then that's it, in a world where you have to wrangle a ghost for maybe 10-20 seconds plus it seems pointless. It's not pointless. The Compact Thrower is a stunner to the regular Proton Pack's entangler, something you could use alongside the regular Pack to knock the wind out of a ghost if it's proving difficult to wrangle into a Trap.
On top of that, it can either give a Ghostbuster a greater degree of flexibility, to mitigate the amount of damage that could be caused to an area (especially if it's a very expensive location like a museum full of priceless artwork, or a store full of delicate crystal).
In the end, we have to remember that the device was likely still in the prototype stage, and it didn't have a fair chance to make its mark as Garraka was able to freeze the proton streams. Against any other ghost, it probably would've shon.

And seeing as we've yet to see it hit a regular ghost it's still unclear as to how it affects ghosts. Garraka obviously wasn't affected and the only other thing we seen it hit in the movie was a cardboard target, so to claim it's a 'stunner' seems to be your own take on it as the movie doesn't show anything remotely like that unless I've missed something somewhere along the line.

I don't recall that. Anytime it was used it seems to fire a regular proton beam and is basically burst fire, this much is obvious especially during the finale where you see multiple shots being fired from it and each shot is a standard proton beam but in a very short burst duration.

Can we all please just be honest with each other & admit there is 1 reason and 1 reason only this thing exists. Which is It’s cheaper to reproduce as a toy than a proton pack. We can all see that. Right? That’s no crime. Toys are fine. But the device serves no story purpose in the film. It is absolutely pointless. Maybe it COULD be used for the things you mentioned. It’s a shame we don’t see ANY of that. (Remember that old Hollywood adage “Never show or tell anything”) .

So all the hype it's two decal sheets and only a couple genuine swappable parts? Meaning you're stuck with an Ecto 1 with 1A decals when you swap the roofs? That's really really really lame for the price. And it sucks even more that NOTHING extra comes with the base version outside the ghosts. It's almost insulting how bare bones the 1 is compared to the 1A.
Piss-poor planning on this one. Easy pass.
Oh and PS to Hasbro...maybe hire an editor for your copy. No one calls the Slime Blowers "Ecto-chargers" outside of the old kenner release...but hey why pay attention to detail?
