I don't get why he was referencing them, the whole scene was weird and his referencing those shows was just so random.When he went into the hole, he passed through another dimension and likened it to Twilight Zone and Outer Limits which used similar phenomena in stories like Little Girl Lost. I Love Lucy was just a joke by the episode's writer probably.
