It does look like it's not an MT500, as there's a drop on the side with the contact for the hand mike that isn't on the MT500...

It looks like Ray's radio might be an HT220, Dr. StantzJr.posted some shots of some HT220s he owned and they have a correct-looking three-dial configuration on the top of the radio:

I may have to get an HT220 someday only because Ray is my favorite character lol.

Only thing I'd advise is make sure we've confirmed it is an HT220 before buying one, just in case it's a similar-but-different model. :)

Looking up the evolution of Motorola's handie-walkies/radios hasn't been as easy as I was hoping... I've not yet found a website that chronicles each iteration they'd produced through the 1970s and '80s.

Edit:

Just had a look through this website, it does look like the HT220 is the closest-looking radio to the one Dan's using.

But here's the other handie-walkies Motorola produced from 1969-1984 for reference:
