Not sure if I'm remembering correctly, but quite a few years ago someone like Hot Toys or Blitzway released or announced Venkman, Stanz and Spengler in their University/Library outfits from the beginning of the film in 1/6th scale. I can't seem to find any information so if someone can help me out I'd appreciate it.

I believe it was from soldier story toys. Never released but I did pick up their head sculpt on eBay

Soldier Story. They also announced Venkman and Spengler GBII Court room figures that looked good. Plus a pretty nifty Holtzman and Kevin (with his motorcycle) from ATC. Shame none of these ever hit shelves.
