If you missed out on the limited Hasbro “Two in the Box” Ghost Trap, don’t worry—Spirit Halloween just dropped a worthy alternative that’s available now. The officially licensed Deluxe Ghost Trap is packed with features pulled straight from the screen, including LED lights, adjustable volume for trap and Slimer sound effects, a working foot pedal with a 10-foot cable, and even a built-in mist feature powered by a refillable water tank and syringe. It comes ready for action with black rubber gloves, a utility belt, and a clip to keep it at your side during any Class 5 encounter.

This screen-inspired replica isn’t just for show—it’s functional fun for any Halloween display or cosplay build. You can trigger the trap with the step pedal or flip it on manually, and with details like movable knobs and fog effects, it’s the closest you’ll get to catching ghosts without crossing the streams. Looking to complete the look? Pair it with Spirit Halloween’s Deluxe Proton Pack, which is also in stock now for a full-on busting experience.

Prop 65, which was passed in 1986:

Edit: For anyone who isn't familiar with it, Prop 65 means that if a product contains certain "dangerous" chemicals then it's required to have warning labels on it to disclose that. Spirit Halloween hasn't put those labels on the product, so they're not allowed to sell in California.
Not sure exactly what chemical it is, there's over 900 on the list. Maybe it's a vinyl hose as part of the fogger setup, or one of the plastic components, or even some tiny part of the manufacturing process. Even a Prop 65 warning sticker would probably meet the requirements and allow Spirit to sell this product in CA.

Thanks, prodestrian.

Hmm, I take it when/if Spirit does a second run, the box will come with the sticker and that should be enough to allow it to be sold in California?

I like the detailing on it and the pedal hose add on. I'm not crazy about the doors being lifted higher and not fitting to the top of the trap when closed. The water tank add on is neat but...I think they could have just kept the addition of a dial that moves, weathering, hose, pedal and speaker volume would have been enough. I'm on the fence as I'd like a correct smoke kit for it and unsure if I get this and mod it or do other mods to a conventional spirit trap to get it to look like this.

No idea, I live in Australia so we probably won't even get it here (unless we want to pay near-HasLab prices from eBay resellers). But I've seen that California warning label on enough products over the years to at least be familiar with Prop 65. Even some of the Mack's Factory products have P65 warnings on them:

I'll defer to Jim's (Venkmaniac/Extraplasm) expertise here, as a CA resident with much more knowledge than me:

Got mine on Saturday. Was a little disappointed as the box was very damaged, but the trap and pedal were fine. It's not bad, though I think for what they charge it is a little underwhelming as far as the lights and sounds are concerned. The smoke is nice and looks cool, however the fact you can't manually close the trap by stepping on the pedal again and you have to wait for the sequence to end kind of sucks. I can't wait to see the mods that people will come up with for this.
