With November and the cinematic release of Ghostbusters: Afterlife edging closer, other events of interest to Ghostbusters fans are gearing up. As has become something of a tradition, the Ghostbusters franchise will once again be represented by a selection of items set to go under the hammer at Prop Store's Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction (further details of those individual lots can be viewed by visiting the topic.

Those who saw our previous article on the auction will have noticed a prominent absence: the Proton Pack prop from 2016's Ghostbusters: Answer the Call. We have reached out to Prop Store for further information on this item and will update if we receive a response.

124. Screen-matched Titanic Model Miniature GHOSTBUSTERS II (1989)
A screen-matched model miniature of the R.M.S. Titanic from Ivan Reitman's supernatural comedy sequel Ghostbusters II. The Titanic and its ghostly passengers appeared at the New York docks after the evil slime under the streets of the city began to cause widespread chaos. The model matches the one seen on screen, identified by the holes and markings toward the front.

Built for the production by the artists at Industrial Light & Magic, the miniature is of the bow section of the ship and is predominantly resin sheet mounted over a wooden frame, with carved biscuit foam inside for shape and stability. The ship is intentionally distressed to look like it has been at the bottom of the Atlantic for decades, with a large gaping hole on the right side.

There are a couple of small lights and some clear perspex rods on the deck through which light would have emanated, giving a ghostly glow, although these are no longer functional.

The ship has some wear from age and use, and several of the resin panels and railings are no longer present on the sides of the ship. Dimensions: 155 cm x 53 cm x 140 cm (61" x 20¾" x 55")
Estimate: $5,000 - 7,000

Note: This item was last sold in 2010!

123. Production-made Terror Dog Stop-motion Puppet Casting GHOSTBUSTERS (1984)
A production-made Terror Dog stop-motion puppet casting from Ivan Reitman's sci-fi comedy Ghostbusters. Gozer the Gozerian (Slavitza Jovan) brought two gargoyles to life as demonic dogs with glowing red eyes. The Terror Dogs were created by Boss Film Studios using a combination of stop-motion animation and puppetry, helping earn the film an Academy Award® nomination for Visual Effects.

This hand-painted, production-made 1/4-scale foam latex puppet was crafted by production from original Dog molds, but ultimately unused onscreen. It is cast around a wire armature and affixed to a black wood base for stability and display. It exhibits some signs of age, including cracking around the joints and minor discolouration in spots, and there are several chips in the display base. Dimensions: 65 cm x 43.25 cm x 28 cm (25½" x 17" x 11")
Estimate: $6,000 - 8,000

600. Slimer's Jaw GHOSTBUSTERS II (1989)
Slimer's jaw from Ivan Reitman's supernatural comedy sequel Ghostbusters II. After being caught by the Ghostbusters (Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson), Slimer returned in the sequel as an unpredictable companion to the paranormal investigators.

This heavily detailed mould of Slimer's jaw, likely built for one of the film's practical maquettes, features pink rubber gums inset with 13 jagged resin teeth painted white. One of the front teeth is broken, and it exhibits various scuffs to the paint from production use. Dimensions: 26.75 cm x 21 cm x 11 cm (10½" x 8¼" x 4¼")
Estimate: $600 - 800

Note: Although listed as from the production of Ghostbusters II, this jaw piece was actually created for the first movie.

Thats a different terror dog puppet (poorly detailed at that, the casting seams are still showing). I still own the one sold a few months ago.

The Titanic miniature was most recently seen for sale at The Prop Gallery earlier this year - and I think he wanted something like $20,000 for it.
