Here is the thread for my dye job that I did. I think I put the links where I got the dye recipe from. Good Luck!!

I still used the paint after I dyed them.

Thanks, o0Ecto1A0o;

I had seen that thread, and was planning on giving your recipe a go. I will, of course, post results. It will be interesting to see if it will color over the golden yellow. And I already bought the grey primer... yesterday!

Defender pads are available on eBay again! I asked the seller if he had more, said 10 still available. I asked for and got a pair of mediums since the comparison photo on the first page of this thread looked the best, tightness doesn't bother me. Get 'em before they're gone!

Since Defenders are already grey except for the white stitching around the bubble, does anyone have any dying recommendations so that the whole thing doesn't become too dark?

Wish they had made them entirely grey; after cutting the sleeve you'd be done!

This nice shot of Winston's elbow pad not only shows the sleeve was cut without hemming, but the stitching around the bubble was a darker grey than the rest of the pad.

Anyone know some brick and mortar (or Amazon) stores that I can get some last minute? The guy I was dealing with on eBay was out if hand for how much he was charging. I checked Dicks but none of the ones they carry really looked like the ones from the film. I'm not looking for 100% accuracy but close enough.

Did I read somewhere that the shop was going to have another run of the "ready-to-go" pads eventually?

I certainly hope so I would purchase them on the spot I missed out last time.

same here. I bought some of the proseries ones and they turned out ok and would do the job, but I would grab a premade pair instantly.

Hi everyone!
Is there any recent experience with finding somehow accurate pads online?
I tried all the old links in the thread, but understandbly those are all several years old and don't work anymore.

Any hints on where to find some decent pads would really be appreciated!
(Preferably shops based in Europe - but I'll take anything you offer!)

Thanks in advance!

Try find Cannon volleyball knee pads. They do grey ones, but nowhere seems to be in stock at the moment. The gbfans ones will cost about £40 shipped to the UK at the moment, just as a price comparison with anything you find.

My canon volleyball pads were just delivered today. Just had to use a razor blade to remove the canon logo. $19 on Amazon (US)

Hello I’m in need of good elbow pads. Does anyone on this thread have spare century judo or defender pads they are willing to sell? The gbfans pads don’t cut the mustard for me as well as the current cannon pads. Pretty please? lol

I would imagine it's because of the circular hole in the elastic, although that is now canon for Frozen Empire (with a black square sewn over it).

The stitching around the rim the of the bubble is wrong, the bubble itself is a little too stiff, yes the hole as well.
