A pleasure to do business with! A little bit of a wait, but it was well worth it! The parts are high quality; you can tell a lot of care went into their creation, for example the lettering on his resin Clippard valves are crisp and detailed; same goes for all of the nooks and cranny's of the resistors, crank knob, etc! Would definitely do business with again!

Once again Nick never fails to impress!
I built my Nickatron semihero pack back in October. At the time he didn't have any aluminum motherboards in stock, so I cut my own out of wood.
I finally got around to ordering a board from Nick recently hearing he got some in stock. He even helped me out greatly by having the patients waiting for me to return home from a week of traveling out of town to place my order. He delivered very well to please with quality once again with just a motherboard!
His communication and his work makes Nickatron a great part of this community plus others!
I still catch myself just staring at my pack daily as it sits in my home office. I find much inspiration out of it!!
So Thanks again!

I got my first order from Nick a short while back. I ordered the booster frame, bellows and bumper. The booster frame is really nice, the bellows needs clean up, which I knew about but shouldn't be a big deal (I'm not gong to be using it on my pack however, not because it's bad but I'll be going with a metal version for my hero pack, something I knew would probably happen but I wanted to see the resin one in person before deciding).

The bumper was a bit of a let down. I'm almost positive I didn't order the screen cast version to avoid dealing with the seam in the middle of it but the one that arrived did have a seam and quite a bit of pitting (if that's the correct word to use?) in it. I knew there would be some clean up needed but I was surprised by how much it will need to smooth it down for the proper hero look. For a semi hero build O think it would look great as is. Here's a picture of it as it arrived, sorry for the quality and poor lighting.

Image

Don't get me wrong I'm happy with the bumper, I'll be using it, Nick's service was great and I'll be ordering my gun grips, trap kit and belt gizmo kit from him in the near future along with other things I'm sure, I was just surprised the bumper looked the way it did. I would perhaps suggest the pictures on the website show what the parts will look like when we receive them in addition to what they look like sanded down but its Nick's site so it's up to him.

@vincentvegafff Im so sorry you're unhappy with the quality of the bumper, the mould is quite old now and I need to remake it, problem is Ive been so swamped with orders coming in i haven't had the time and I HATE keeping customers waiting.

Ill be remaking the mould soon and ill send you a fresh new cast as soon as its ready :)

Sorry yet again.

Nick, that's very generous but not necessary. As I said, I'm happy with the bumper I was just taken aback by how it wasn't as smooth as I thought it would be and needed more work than I expected to get it ready to go on a hero pack. I've seen some builds where people removed the seam and the bumper looks great and I've done some sanding on it myself and it's already looking better. A little bit more time on it and it will be perfect.

The best way I can describe my feelings on the bumper is this: out of the box it would be a 7.5 out of 10 but once it's sanded down and painted I fully expect it to be a 10 out of 10.

I have bought several resin parts from Nick over the last few years as well as an MT-500; the parts were all well cast with fine, crisp detail and everything arrived well packaged. He also cast some Slime Blower tank-kit detail pieces for me after I inquired about them, having seen them mentioned in an older thread; when they arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they were ready cast in olive resin and black rubber respectively! I was very satisfied with the quality of his products.

Thanks again!

Over the last lot of months I've had a lot of many interactions with Nick both as a friendly chat and discussing props. The guy is so passionate about what he does, he's a pleasure to talk with.

As a seller his feedback speaks for itself, I bought many of an item from him but one particular transaction stood out, he sent me an item and when I got it, I thought it looks a bit rough and ready but I thought nothing of it and was ready to roll with it, a few days later we were talking and he mentioned the item and asked if I was happy with it, I did mention to him I thought it was a bit rough in certain areas but told him it's nothing I can't fix up or live with. He mentioned to me he had a feeling the mold was coming to it's end and offered me a full replacement free of charge. The man is a perfectionist and a gentleman.

On another note, I've dealt with Nick on the other side of the fence. As a buyer, he's a pleasure to deal with in that regards also.

Overall theme here is Nick = Awesome

I've received some parts from Nick. Booster frame, bumper, bellows, spacers and a crank knob. I am pleased with the parts. They only need minor clean up.

The part that impressed me the most was the resin crank knob. The details on that part was extremely sharp!

And also good communication and fast shipping. I will do certainly buy again from Nick.

-The delay was 2 weeks but it takes 8 !!!!(GBF makes 4 runs during this time !!!)
-Its not very plane on the board(even if i sand it !!!)
-The n filter is full of resine !!! Then the work to do on it don t make the advantage describe on the website(don t earn time )
- The n filter is very close to the hole of cyclotron make him hard to change....

1. You could have asked me if the shell was compatible with a gbfans board. Not my fault you just assumed it would fit.
2. Sorry it took longer than usual but sometimes im in high demand and have many many orders to get shipped. i think taking a bit longer is better than rushing and sending out sloppy parts.
3. This is a semi-hero shell, the N-filter is just meant to be drilled into and the indents to be painted white. If you wanted a hollow N-filter to put mesh behind you should have purchased a hero style filter.
4. i dont see the problem, thats exactly where the N-filter should be.

Yes i don t say i m not happy with it i say "little bit" and i assume it , i made this feedback to tell that the website detail missing for a better clarity just 2-3 pictures more and put the no compatibility and the specificity of the shell in description it doesn t cost anything and it will help customers.
I know you have many orders and certanly not as big shop as GBF but just write a small mail to keep customers in touch will be apreciate !!!!
And the position of the n filter was not a "problems" but to change it by a 3" alu n filter i don t know if it will be possible because the resine one seem to be a little smaller than 3" in fact the 4 go with the question is it compatble cause i don t want to cut in the cyclotron hole.

It is not his responsibility to inform you that his shell will not fit a motherboard custom cut to fit another shell. Use some common sense. Would you go out and complain about a custom tailored suit not fitting you if it was made to fit another person?

As a recurring customer for Nick I feel I have to reply here too
In all fairness, feedback is for future improvements, but I think it has to be realistic as well.
Being unhappy about something that isn't Nicks doing is really uncalled for. His shells fit perfectly on the Motherboards Nicks sells from time to time, I think you should have done your homework a tad better.
Give you shell a soapy bath and use some sanding paper afterwards and you'll see any rough bits are gone and the shell looks even better. The type of shell you bought is awesome (I have gotten 4 in total now for me and teammembers) and we just used a dremel tool on the N-filter. No problems whatsoever.
Nick owns Nickatron Props, but is also a human being, and runs most of the show by himself. Whenever I order something he is completely transparent about the status of my order. I just think that it's a bit too much to ask for him to keep in touch with all his customers, especially during busy times. Just PM him and I tell you he gets back to with 24 hours. So that doors swings both ways, if you want an update..just ask him.
Nick is the nicest seller I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with and I will buy from him in the future.

3 awesome fibreglass throwers are on their way to me as we speak, and I am sure they will be the quality I have come to expect from Nick.

Just my two cents.

I just contacted Nick about getting a fiberglass cylcotron from him. I scratch built my own pack but have never been happy with my "cake pan" cyclotron. Nick was prompt in his his response and happy to help.

I ended up ordering a few parts in total. While I like my N-filter, I thought it best to order one from him too. And I wanted to replace my spacer disc. Mine was made from a dog food lid. Looked the part but it's flexible.

This review goes up before I even see the parts. I've ordered several items from Nick in the past. I know his work and have full confidence. The main reason for me writing today was to share Nick's exceptional customer service. As so many others have said, he's one of the nicest sellers and always prompt with a response.

Thanks Nick!

Ted.
