Just finally getting around to connecting with some other fans. Do any of y'all know where the closest franchise is to me? And how to get in touch with them?

Auburn, so just up 167 from ya. I've tried contacting the Pacific Northwest Ghostbusters via their FB page but so far no reply. Same with Ghostbusters NW. Wonderful videos from them - https://www.youtube.com/c/GhostbustersNW/featured

I’m on Whidbey Island.

I tried for years in Tacoma and Seattle. PNW GB is pretty much dead, from what I gathered when I met a few in 2018 at ECCC

I have also tried to contact PNW GB and not heard anything.
Searched this forums a bit and see alot of really old posts , but nothing new.

A reference to a group called Emerald City GhostBusters .....but nothing is showing for them on facebook or google.

So, to get the ball rolling and to try to revive interest , I have created a page on facebook :

Facebook is fighting me on the URL name, so until their techs can fix it , we are stuck with a long name with numbers.

Just for the record, I don't want to step on any toes of pre-existing active groups. However, if they are not doing anything , then it's up to us to get things going.

Tacoma here, the PNWGB did meet up at the Alderwood AMC for the Premiere There was a total of 35+ in attendance.

Their fb group does have activity limited due to Covid of course.

My guess is our next ECCC is in August and maybe plans will form ahead of the con.

Corb We met at ECCC and Glad to have you on in PNWGB!

Just to restate, This Spring and Summer It is my belief and intention to help PNWGB become active again in the local community. Please feel free to PM me to get you added to the group and we can begin planning and project work.

After about a year of fighting with Facebook , they finally got the URL fixed .

is the newer , shorter URL .

We got rid of the dashes and the 105837928615128 url numbers at the end .

It wouldn't been so bad if it was 8675309 .

I’m on Whidbey Island, always experienced very slim GB presence up in WA. My brother and I are usually the only ones dressed up wherever we may be at any movie release or Halloween.
Good to know there’s a few more of us out here!

The local chapter of Ghostbusters NW is becoming more active and doing more community work. We recently did some Halloween charity work and participated in a holiday food drive. Good afternoon ghostheads!

Just wanted to take a minute to reflect a bit on the growth of activity in the last year and looking ahead.

Most of us in this thread have become a bit of a regional coalition of franchises. we have organized and met regularly since December 2023. We have held monthly online and quarterly in person meetings which keep growing!

We have much to celebrate this year with the recently released Movie, Crypticon Seattle and the 40th Anniversary of the release of Ghostbusters at the Blue Mouse theater in Tacoma. We will also be in attendance at Washington SummerCon in Puyallup.

Looking forward to hearing from more of you!

On behalf of the ' coalition of franchises ' , I am going to add a correction , for accuracy sake :

The first meeting that was open to ' coalition of franchises ' , was online January 27, 2024 .
Followed by February 24th, 2024 Online .
Third ( and in person March 23rd . )

As for the rest , either PNWGhostBusters had an existing Discord already , or Michael created one - Either way there is a few more 'Ghostheads' on it, with some photos posted .

The next online meeting is Saturday Apr 27, 2024 ⋅ 3pm – 4pm .

Contact MichealGil directly , he can give you the links to both Discord and the Meetings , since he is the Discord Owner and meeting host .
