Most people use a 331 on the pack shell and a 701 on the thrower. If my memory serves me, I believe the Super Hero pack that was in the Sony Lobby had a 331 on the thrower and that may have been the only pack with that setup, the rest had 701's on the thrower. So it's up to you!

The ones made today are very close to the originals, the originals had "Clippard" engraved on face of the silver end of the valve and I think maybe the beveled edge on the knob is slightly different but that's really the only difference between vintage and current versions.

Lowberg hit the nail on the head, but I’ll add in a thread at the bottom which has a good break down. The packs had similar configurations in GB1 but once they were reworked for GB2 it was basically mix and match. On the build I just did, I ran 701’s on both the pack and thrower as that is what is on the Spengler hero currently.
